15k Victorian Hard Stone Shield Mourning Ring

It is so rare to find true relics of history in such amazing condition.  This ring has NO cracks to the stone or dents to the band.  Acquired in Brighton, England this ring was kept in a lock box and is a link that had been passed down through multiple generations.  The last owner was a widower with no children; his estate items sold, with the proceeds being donated to an undisclosed charity in the area.  The shield is is hand etched, unknown English family crest and sits within a hand crafted dome setting.  I could not pass up the chance to have this historic item in my store.  Mourning jewelry became quite popular during the rein of Queen Victoria, but gained traction in the past 15 years with people wanting to procure items to memorialize their passed loved ones, as well as, out of a need to continue the legacy of the lost loved ones from bygone times.  Perfect ring to wear with any ensemble, and is low in profile so no worries of snagging it on clothing and can easily be worn under a glove.  If you know someone who likes Gothic Style, then this would make a great gift!
