Vintage Hand Crafted Turquoise & Coral Ring

The most amazing Navajo ring I have seen!  From Santa Fe, NM and belonging to a retired Native American archaeologist, this fabulous ring is now looking for a new home.  The side designs are so impressive and really make a statement.  One side has three sun circle representing "home", while the other has the eagle feathers for "Chief".   The large deep red coral is natural with mild wear from use and age (cracking and small chips).  The oval shaped turquoise is also deep in color with black veining.  Both are flat prong set and very secure, no wobbling or movement.  Nice and hefty with a solid round underside allows for comfortable wear.  This was an item that was made out of friendship with no markings back in the late 60's.  You do not see large pieces of natural coral like this in newer jewelry.  Coral has been very difficult and limited to harvest as we have damaged so much of the natural supply.  This is why so many of the newer items have only small pieces or even coral look a like stones or resins.  This is natural and in good condition for it's age. This item can be worn by a lady or a gent.  Let's see if we can find this artisan treasure a new home.
