Antique Elgin 15 Jewel Ladies Pocket Watch

This beauty comes to us from Denver, Colorado.  It was acquired from the estate of a lovely lady named Pris.  It originally belonged to her grandmother and was passed down.  The family is looking to find good homes for some of Pris's pieces.  Pris was a teacher, wife and mother to two daughters and grandmother of three.

The watch is in perfect working order and shows only mild wear from age.  There are light scratches with NO large chips, breaks or scratches to case or face crystal.  The Roman Numerals are accented by the crescent moons and flower blossoms with the seconds shown in intervals of 5's.  There is also a second bubble located to the bottom with seconds in intervals of 10's.  The movement is manual and should be wound one in the morning and one at bedtime if you would like to use daily.  The serial number is clearly stamped inside both the front and back of case.  The inside of the back case also has the  #15385 hand etched.  It could be the assembler's number of manufacturing warehouse number (?).  The designs to the front and back are the same with one special difference.....The back of the case has a little cottage amongst reeds hand etched to the bottom center. This is perfect in your are or now someone is is into the steampunk style.  It would make a perfect something old for a wedding bride who prefers to wear a suit over a dress.
