Rare 14k Natural Jade Pandora Pendant & Chain
This jade necklace is a rare Pandora find! As the company moved more towards charms and mass producing for the retail market, their unique in house designed pieces from the 1990's became very hard to come by and sought after by collectors. The 14k gold cable chain is marked with Pandora's 585 ALE gold mark and the famous "O" with a crown. The teardrop shaped jade stone is dark green in color and housed within a scroll etched solid 14k gold frame. In very good condition with NO cracks or breaks to the stone or metal work. Pandora was founded int 1982 in a small jeweler's shop in Copenhagen, Denmark by Danish goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie.
In 1987, after several successful years as wholesalers, the retail activities were discontinued and the company moved to larger premises. Meanwhile, the first in-house designer joined the company and Pandora began to focus on creating its own unique jewelry. In 1989, the company decided to start manufacturing its jewelry in Thailand. In 2000 the company expanded into the international market and became a household name in the jewelry industry.
