RARE 1940's Natural Shell Large Brooch
 
AMAZING!!!  That is the only word my brain can form.  This very RARE Retro piece is the end all of your ensemble accessories for the Spring and Summer.  Hand crafted out of natural shell, down to the center bloom.  These shells create a beautiful floral brooch that marries with any color.  Orange, Yellow, Black, Purple, Teal and so many more.  A great pop of vintage flair for that graduation, baby shower, wedding or ladies social club gathering.  Light enough to wear on a sweater, light jacket, hat or scarf. 
 
This brooch was purchased by a lady named Helen on the Jersey Shore while on vacation.  Helen was a trailblazer become a geologist working alongside her husband and raising three beautiful daughters during the 1950's.  This brooch was one of many made popular back in the day when cruising and beach vacations were in their heyday.  These tourist pieces are now highly collectible; due to there more fragile nature, most of these artisan creations have been loss to damage and neglect.  This brooch was loved and has been taken care of by Helen's daughter all these years.  In fantastic condition with NO cracks or breaks or color loss to any of the shell.  The pin and latch are in perfect working order.
